It’s getting better all the time

Just in case you are getting dizzy over how wonderful things are now that Greenspan has declared the worst of the credit crisis over, remember that unemployment claims are at a four year high. There last count there were three million Americans filing for unemployment benefits. That number doesn’t even count everyone who is currently out of work.

The sign of a strong economy should not be how much the richest are increasing their wealth, it should be how many of the poor are able to live in relative comfort. It should be how easily work can be found by those who want it. It should be how affordable the basic needs are.
