NYC Toy Theater Festival
Impatient Sufferers of New York, Unite! At the end of the month there will be a toy theater festival in DUMBO, Brooklyn. There will be a week of performances by exceptional puppeteers from around the world. I’m certain anyone in the city who finds a moment to attend any of the performances will be glad they did so. I particularly recommend attending Program Six, with Paul Zaloom, Peter Schumann and young Isaac Bell. Clare Dolan, the Shoddy Puppet Company and the Chinese Theater works are also among the must see performances (though really the entire festival is not to be missed).
We Impatient Sufferers are always excited by the confluence of art and politics so you can be sure you’ll see me and perhaps your other hosts at a number of the performances. For more information see the website of Great Small Works and St. Ann’s Warehouse.
